Do You Know Jesus?

The Bible says that every person has sinned and done things that are displeasing to God. We all fall short of His holiness and the Bible says that the wages for our sin is death, eternal separation from God. No matter how many good works we do or how good a life we live, we can never work our way to forgiveness and eternal life in Heaven. BUT God loved us so much that He made a way for us to be reconciled to Him and to have our sins forgiven. He sent His only son Jesus, to die on a cross for us. He took the punishment for our sin when He died. When He rose again from the dead He made a bridge for us so that we no longer have to be separated from God in this life or when we die. We have a choice to make however. Will we believe that Jesus died for our sins? Will we accept His gift of forgiveness? We will make Him the Lord of our life? Jesus promises in John 10:10 that He came to give us an abundant life. That life doesn't just happen after we die. It can start today. All of the promises in God's Word are true for those who choose to accept His gift of forgiveness and desire to walk in obedience to Him. You too can experience His forgiveness, His peace, His presence in your life. Will you make Him Lord of your life? If that is your desire you can pray this prayer today:


Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. I ask you to forgive me and wash me clean. I accept your gift of forgiveness. Thank you for making a way for me to be reconciled to God and for giving me a home in Heaven. I want You to be Lord of my life. Help me to live for You. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and let me shine your love so that others may see that You are the only way, the truth and the life. Thank you for making me Your child. In Jesus name, Amen
